Community Mourns the Loss of Chelsea Hall, Beloved Teacher and Pastor’s Wife

The community in Gainesville is grieving the loss of Chelsea Hall, a devoted mother, educator, and woman of faith, who passed away on April 26, 2026, at the age of 41.

Chelsea Hall was the wife of Pastor Brian Hall, senior pastor at Chestnut Mountain Church, and a cherished member of the congregation. Her passing has left the church community in deep mourning as members rally around the Hall family in support and prayer.

A dedicated teacher at Lyman Hall Elementary School, Chelsea was known for her compassion, kindness, and commitment to her students. She is survived by her husband, Brian Hall, and their five children—Brock, Cooper, Andi, Deacon, and Easton—who now face an unimaginable loss. Friends and community members have described Chelsea as a devoted mother whose life centered on her family and her faith.

In a message shared publicly, Free Chapel expressed heartfelt condolences, describing Chelsea as “a woman of deep faith who loved God and loved people well,” adding that her life touched countless individuals.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Sunday, May 3, at 5 p.m. at Free Chapel’s Gainesville campus. Visitation is scheduled from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. prior to the service. The church has invited the community to come together in remembrance, prayer, and support for the Hall family during this difficult time.
